Noa with Guest Star Mira Awad

Israel's leading international concert and recording artist Noa (Achinoam Nini) will team up with renowned Palestinian singer, actress and songwriter Mira Awad in a concert conveying a message of co-existence and peace for all inhabitants of the Holy Land. That message is embodied in their smash hit, “There Must Be Another Way.”

Tickets are $40 in advance and $45 on the day of the show.

BACKGROUND ON NOA
Is Israel's leading international concert and recording artist.
Was born in Tel Aviv, lived in New York City from age two until returning to Israel at 17.
Studied music at Rimon School where she met her long-time partner/collaborator Gil Dor.
Plays percussion, guitar and piano.
Has co-written and produced 10 albums and various compilations.
Has toured and sung with rock superstar Sting, performed her song “Child of Man” with Stevie
Wonder for a CBS-TV special, and shared the stage and microphone with artists such as Carlos
Santana, Sheryl Crow, George Benson, Maurane, Eric Serra, Johnny Clegg, Pascal Obispo,
Zuccherro, Al Dimeola, Massimo Ranieri, Florent Pagny, Jean Jacques Goldman, Jorge Drexler,
Joan Manuel Serrat and Miguel Bose.
Performance venues have included Carnegie Hall and Avery Fisher Hall in New York, the Olympia
in Paris, Rome's Coloseum, the Barbican in London, Zellerbach Auditorium in San Francisco, and
the Palau de la Musica in Barcelona.
Collaborated with Gil Dor and Palestinian singer Rim Banna in 2004 to write and record the theme
song for the animated film, “Pace of Peace.” The film was awarded special notice in the 2005
Venice Film Festival.
BACKGROUND ON MIRA AWAD
Was born in Rama village in the Galilee in 1975 to a Palestinian father & Bulgarian mother.
Studied in the Rimon School for Jazz and Contemporary Music from 1996 to 2000.
Studied in the Body Theater School, scholarship from the America-Israel Culture Foundation.
Teamed up with Noa over the past eight years and together represented Israel in the 2009
Eurovision Song Contest in Moscow where they performed their big hit, “There Must Be
Another Way.”
Collaborated with Noa on her album “Now.”
Starred in the TV series “Arabic Work” and “Noah's Ark.”
Hosted TV programs on Israel's education channel.
Appeared in films including “That Woman Like a Rose,” “The Bubble,” and “Al'Zendiq”
Recorded the theme songs for the movies “Forgiveness” by director Udi Aloni and “Lemon Tree” directed by Eran Riklis.
