Mashina is probably the greatest Israeli pop-rock bands of all. There were more original bands, more revolutionary ones, but none had endured for ten years and eight albums, with continuous change, development and progress in its music, writing and live performance.

Mashina comes from Tel Aviv’s early ‘80s club scene, from a marginal rank, but its members remained humble and down-to-earth even as the band rose to “Platinum” records and sold-out arenas. Their work is inspired by many of their favorite musical genres… but still creates a very unique sound that is extremely Israeli.

The band reunited in 2003 for a performance tour that became a smashing box-office success and resulted in a “Platinum” album and DVD of the show. The band decided to make their temporary reunion a permanent re-grouping and has since continued operating as a collective.
Their highly acclaimed 12th album, with original new music, was released in May 2005.
